animated movies and the state of animation in general

i still haven't watched any of the sonic movies but the ONLY thing i hate about them is that they made a lot of dumb niggas think that they can get overworked, underpaid Hollywood animators to do their general bidding by "bullying" them (harrassing them)

and now whenever a new animated movie is announced and the internet's general consensus is "the designs of the characters suck", there's a small, vocal group of ppl screaming that "WE STILL HAVE TIME!!!! WE CAN DO WHAT WE DID WITH THE SONIC MOVIE AGAIN!!!!! WE CAN STILL FIX THIS!!!!!" like bro you HAVE to let it go 😭😭😭

the latest examples i can think of are the Minecraft movie & Shrek 5, the arguments once again being "nobody asked for this", "the designs of the characters suck" & "why can't y'all just leave the classics alone"

a lot of them say they aren't gonna support these studios anymore but part of me is kinda wating for them to inevitably go to the theaters to watch them and tell everyone that they were "actually pretty decent" cuz they can't ever just form an opinion and stick with it

in my humble opinion, the Minecraft movie and Shrek 5 will either end up suprisingly decent or mid, and either way i won't care cuz i'm not gonna watch them

conclusion i guess: year after year, "ugly Sonic" feels more & more like a marketing ploy that worked way better than it should've
